Two skinned knees

I fell up my stairs today and skinned my right knee. Then, in an effort to be polite, I tried to step over a desk when I finished my OChem exam so I wouldn't bother the girl next to me and I skinned my left knee on the way down. Now I have two skinned knees. Ahh, memories.

I love the sound of a fan running. I think it reminds me of my childhood. In the summer my dad would put a fan in the windows of our bedrooms... the soft hum drowning out the startling noises in the dark. I think now that I'm an adult I can really appreciate those things about my childhood. There was no way I could have known at that point in my life what these things would mean to me now.

I'm gonna go ahead and encourage comments on this one. Tell me your reminiscent childhood memories.

Climbing trees with Austin and my teddy.... and not whimpy trees either. We got up there! I remember once there was a walking-stick on the branch that I nearly put my hand on and I had to keep myself from falling. I was terrified of walking-sticks and they still creep me out.

Otherwise, camping is always great to remember. Fishing with dad in our junky canoe or falling asleep to the rain on the canvas camper top....

this is odd, because just today when i was walking back from class with aaron, i heard a bird chirping and it's a very distinct "chirp". it totally reminded me of when i was little and we would go to my grandma's house, I would lay on the swinging bench thing on her porch, listening to the birds chirping (just like the one i heard today) and as i was swinging, the bench-swing thing would make a creaking type noise too. i would just lay out there for hours in the summers, sometimes i even fell asleep out there. don't you miss those days when we were little and didn't have anything to do in the summers but play?
